Refund Policy
Effective: 21 August 2026 · Last updated: 21 August 2026
Most companies in this category write a refund policy designed to win an argument. This one is written to end one.
The short version: if you were charged and you did not want to be, tell us and we give it back. We do not ask you to justify it and we do not make you talk to three people first.
1. Before there is anything to refund
Two things exist so that most refund requests never need to happen.
- The free tier is real and it stays free. Two channels, failure alerts included. You can see whether the thing works before any card is involved.
- We email you two days before your first charge. If you forgot you signed up, you find out before the money moves, not after.
2. Cancelling
Cancel from inside the app. One click, self-serve, any time. No email, no chat, no phone call, no retention offer standing between you and the button. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
3. Monthly plans
- Cancel before the renewal date and you are not charged again. Nothing to refund.
- Charged for a month you did not intend to use, and you tell us within thirty days? We refund it. That is the whole test.
- Realized late that you have been paying for months without using it? Ask anyway. We would rather refund it than have you tell the story about how we would not.
4. Annual prepayment
Prepaying twelve months is optional and it does not lock you in. Cancel part way through and we refund the unused months on a pro rata basis. Prepaying buys a payment schedule, not a cage.
5. When the service failed you
If Cosmoose did not do what it said it would do, that is not a refund request, it is our mistake. Tell us and we will refund the affected period and fix the cause. You will not be asked to prove harm.
Publishing depends on platforms we do not control, and their outages are not something we can insure against. What we own is telling you a post failed, diagnosing it, and repairing it. If we did not do that part, the refund is yours.
6. How to ask
Email support@cosmoose.io from the address on your account. Say what happened. You do not need a subject line format, a ticket number, or a reason.
- A human replies, usually within two hours during working hours, and always the same day.
- The person who reads it is the person who resolves it. No handoffs.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Your bank generally posts it in five to ten business days, which is their timeline and not ours.
7. What we will not refund
Short list, and it is about fraud rather than about you changing your mind.
- Charges on an account used to break the Terms of Service, such as spam, fake account networks, or illegal content.
- Repeated subscribe-refund cycling on the same account or payment method.
- Fraudulent or stolen payment methods.
8. Chargebacks
Ask us first. A chargeback takes weeks, costs both of us fees, and gets you the same money you would have had the same day by sending an email. We have never once been better off arguing about a refund, so we do not.
